Susan Ingebretson

Growing up in rural Iowa had its challenges as well as its rewards. Being from a very small town, I was one of only six students in my elementary school – and the only girl! Cold winters were also a challenge, but long leisurely days with a good book provided me with the foundation of what would become a lifelong love of reading. I read everything I could get my hands on including textbooks, encyclopedias, and even dictionaries, just for fun. I had the good fortune to develop a love of the written word in an unhurried world. Now, I take great pleasure in writing stories for my own children and extended family. I also enjoy taking part in church activities, volunteering in the classroom as a reading advocate, and speaking to local support groups on the topics of health and wellness. My husband and I share our home with one delightfully rambunctious pup, Foxy, who is the bossiest dog we know.

Liliane Grenier

Liliane, a 24-year-old French-Canadian, is a self-taught artist who began drawing even before she could talk. She constantly works to improve her art by reading any art-related material she can get her hands on, and by voraciously studying the many masterpieces of her heroes of illustration, Alan Lee and J. W. Waterhouse. The work of these two artists serves as some of her greatest visual inspiration. Liliane's second passion in life is children, and she currently works as a daycare educator. She has completed various illustration projects, most of them child and teen oriented, but the majority of her work consists of medieval and Celtic-themed paintings, often inspired by imaginative stories such as "The Lord of the Rings," "Harry Potter," and the myth of King Arthur. Miss Grenier hopes to continue to increase her work as an illustrator in the years to come.
