About the Illustrator

Sheryl Rogers

I was born and raised in Oregon. I loved to draw at a very early age. Crayons and pencils where my first best friends. I could always rely on them to take me away to a place I loved to be. After high school I chose not to go to college, but instead started a career in banking. I married the man of my dreams in 1980. We moved to Sunnyvale California in 1984. Leaving Oregon and moving to the Silicon Valley was a huge change for me. I have a son and a daughter. I left my banking career behind to raise my children.

We got our first computer in 1988, and just like that box of crayons, it too could take me to a place I truly love. When my daughter turned two I decided to go to college to study Art/Graphic Design. In January of 1994 after completing college I got my first graphics job with an engineering company. Over the last nine years I have worked in three very successful engineering firms where I did technical illustration, cartooning, and graphic design. In August 2001 my family and I relocated to a city 20 miles north of Sacramento California. I think I have finally found my perfect space in this world.
